Sex. Banging Body. Video Phone.
Normally, we’d just say this when we’re describing porn. But… add in some hip hop inspiration with a bluegrass-esque voice and enormous talent and even more ambitious drive and you’ve got Niykee Heaton.

We discovered Niykee Heaton via Spotify’s Discover Weekly Playlist and God bless you Spotify. You sent us down two month (and still going!) binge of this musical goddess’s tunes along with a ton of social stalking and research on who she is, what’s she doing, and where she’s going.
Started off from the bottom, now she’s here.
Niykee started out doing YouTube covers of rap songs in her bedroom in Chicago. She’d remix a track on her guitar and add her own twist to it. While she’s done quite a few including some covers from Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and Gaga (check them out here), her cover of ‘Love Sosa’ by Chief Keef is what got her noticed by WorldstarHipHop and brought her to the spotlight.
Beyond being wildly talented (see below for our favorite tracks), she’s also our summer body (or just body) inspiration. She owns every element of her sexuality and knows exactly what she’s doing. Because of that, we fuckin’ love her.
“If I can use what I have aesthetically to draw people in, then why not use it? I’m not going to put a turtleneck just to prove a point, or to make people feel more comfortable according to society’s standards. I’m people think I’m hot, cool. They’ll look at me and look at my bikini pics and then they’ll click on my Soundcloud and love my music.”
To manage expectations, here’s what you’ll find on her Instagram.

Cool. While we can give you a long list of her history, you can read her Wikipedia on your own time. Let’s focus on the top tracks that have had us literally grinding in our office chair while we write this and has our intern looking over here like we’re insane.
Bad Intentions – The track that put her on the map. RIAA: Gold Certified. There’s a recently released a music video that is legit just sex, bikinis, and has some appearances from bigger rappers, but honestly, this original solo track is what’s #1 on our Top 25 Most Played Playlist.
Champagne – This song is a mix between something you’ll work out to and something you want to dance to at the club.
Nexus – A track that is probably an ode to her rap influenced career track. Darker, more moody tone that highlights her as the HBIC.
I’m Ready – This track was originally shopped around to labels and didn’t get interest off the bat. Now, it’s one of her more notorious tracks that her fans have gone wild for.
