One of the best parts of living here is that there’s always something to do right down the road. In the spirit of living life in California, we decided to take an adventure down to Santa Cruz.

First off, if you’re going to do a beach day, you might as well do it in style. The 2015 Ford Mustang is an amazing ride – great on gas, handles well, and let’s be honest… it’s a ‘candy apple red’ sports car which is everyone’s guilty dream.

The scenery is beautiful. Everything is a photo opp and the water is as blue as can be. I’d recommend checking out the boardwalk. If you do it, do it the right way. Play games. Ride the rides. Eat food you know your trainer will make you regret later. It may feel cliché, but it’s a lot of fun and definitely worth it.

That said, it’s a beautiful beach day and the sun is shining bright. I’m finding that these mirror lenses are my favorite style of glasses. They look great but keep it casual. This particular pair is from Levi’s. Pretty moderately priced.

For some solid footwear, these Sperry boat shoes are perfect. They can dress up or down while still comfortable enough to walk around on the boardwalk/beach. Also, they look great in pictures so… BLOOP.

When it’s all said and done, Santa Cruz was the perfect getaway and place to try out some beach style options. The food is great, the weather was perfect, and the perfect place to recharge the batteries after a long few weeks at work. When there, check out the boardwalk (the ferris wheel is awesome), downtown strip with some amazing restaurants (recommend Assembly), and the sea cliffs for one of the most incredible sunsets you’ll ever see.
